| When you are ready to become a member, you can visit one of our Business meetings, which are each month. Membership benefits include use of the club layout in Green Valley, advice from our “experts” and discounts at MicroMark tools supply. The Business Meeting is a time where the club members get together and talk about events and upcoming issues. This is the best time to introduce new members and fill out paper work. The membership is $25 initiation fee along with $5 dues per month. The Business meeting dates change every now and then but you can check them at the bottom of this page. Tucson Shops
| Ace Hardware on 22nd street has designated a large portion of the store to a Train Shop. In fact this Ace Hardware happens to be one of the largest in Arizona. The train shop has been growing every month and they even extended the building to accomodate all the stuff. Ace has a very good selection of stuff, including N scale, HO scale and G. It also has Digitrax, Kato and Atlas track and one of the best scenery supply selections i’ve seen. Its worth the visit.

Tucson Layouts and Clubs
The Gadsden Pacific Divison is the name of the club that operates the model train museum in Tucson. They run two annual swap meets per year, June and January. They have their opening schedule and more info on their website.
GPD WebsiteThe Southern Arizona Society of Model Engineers (SASME), The club’s layout is the Tucson & South Western railroad, nicknamed “The Cactus Route.” It is HO and HOn3 scale, but we don’t limit club activities to just HO. We’ve built several small layouts in N gauge and members have built and operated everything from Nn3 to G gauge. We meet each Wednesday night at the club’s building at about 7:30. The first Wednesday of each month is a business meeting, the last Wednesday is a RailCommand Operations night. The remaining Wednesdays are work nights. The club has other operating sessions as well.

Sorry, donations are not tax deductible, but it does get unwanted train items out of the house.
Prototype Railroad Places
The Tucson Historic Depot is located in the heart of Downtown Tucson. The Depot was newly renovated and now has a museum in it, houses the SP #1673 steam locomotive and has a Lunch and Dinner Bistro (Maynard’s) trackside. Visit their website for more info.
